TUNING YOUR GUITAR

An untuned guitar produces no music. Lets learn a few things that one has to know in order to make their guitar useful. If you read the recent articles, then you should be able to know that there are parts called frets, knobs, strings etc. I am talking about strings here. Now hold you guitar with the strings facing away from you belly. Arch your back forward until your finger rest on fret 1 of the guitar. The first strings that i always start to tune are string E and A. Now turn the tuneknob of string E (lets call it s1) to a certain favourable pitch. Dont tighten too much, you might break it! Press your index finger on s2 fret 3. If the guitar is tuned, s1 when open(not pressed) will sound the same as s2 pressed on fret 3). If not, turn s2 knob until it sounds like open s1. Remember that its not a must that coiling the knob has to be clockwise- it is determined by the pitch of s1. Thats for today. Next we will tune s3 and s4. If u have a suggestion, you are free to post it as a comment that will be viewed by over 100 serious guitar lovers.

HOW TO MAINTAIN YOUR GUITAR

A guitar is a dear instrument to maintain. Lets learn some of the parts that got to be handled with care. The six strings: they are attached to the bridge on one end and tuning knobs on the other. The lowest high-pitched string is 'E' and the topmost, also called bass is also 'E'. From the lowest, you can count strings E,A,B,C,D,E. This strings need to be dusted by passing a dry piece of rug over them. A damp rug can not do since dampness can cause rusting. The tuning knobs: they need to be lubricated regularly to avoid rust. The motherboard: its one of the most sensitive part of the guitar that takes a hippy shape. Heavy objects should not be placed on it to avoid breakage. It should be kept dry to avoid dampness that kills the sound. Hey folks, your guitar will not break while am still here. See you morrow!Once again,to a guitar is a dear instrument to maintain.
